New challenges of classifying and standardizing for context awareness systems for smart applications of fibre computing in textiles, clothes and homes

The paper describes challenges of classifying and standardizing processes for context awareness systems for smart applications especially for fibre computing and wearable electronics. The focus will be on applications for intelligent fashion interfaces. One possibility for structuring new functions of embedded or wearable interfaces could be the 7 skin model. Thinking in the near future especially “smarter” fashion items, like clothes, accessories, shoes, artefacts, interior decorations in homes will be able to serve the user by tackling additional tasks through integrated processors, memory, sensors and communication capabilities. Every advanced item from the e-shoe to the bathroom or kitchen appliance will be connected to the internet or other networks and subscribed to special information services. Especially for wearable computing applications sensors in clothing will provide an ideal supporting structure for context awareness systems and intelligent fashion
